In short. urna is free. Your budget data lives in your own Google Drive, not on our servers. The only thing we keep on a server is your Google email and account ID, used to keep you signed in. No ads, no analytics, no tracking, nothing sold.
urna is a personal project, built and run by one person in Texas. It is not a company. You can reach us at help@urnasuite.com.
urna uses Google sign-in. Google gives us your email address and a Google account identifier. We store these in Google Firebase Authentication to recognize you and keep you signed in, and we use them only for that. We never receive your Google password. Our host also automatically logs technical data such as your IP address, described below.
What you create in urna is saved to a hidden, app-specific folder in your own Google Drive, under your Google account. urna's access is limited to that one folder. It cannot see or touch any of your other Drive files. urna keeps no copy of your budget data on its servers. Because it lives in your Drive, it stays yours even if you stop using urna.
urna's use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google sign-in only to authenticate you and Google Drive only to save and retrieve your urna data in your own Drive at your request. We do not use this data for advertising, do not sell or transfer it except as needed to run urna or as required by law, and do not let anyone read it except with your consent, for security, or where the law requires.
urna is hosted on Google Firebase, which automatically logs standard technical data such as your IP address and basic device or browser information for security and normal operation. Google holds these logs as our hosting provider for a limited period. We do not use them to track, profile, or advertise to you.
If you choose to donate, payment is handled by Ko-fi under Ko-fi's own terms and privacy policy. urna does not receive or store your payment card details.
No bank connection. No Social Security number, government ID, or location. No advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. We never sell or rent your information.
Deleting your account in urna removes your saved data from your Google Drive, deletes the email and account ID we hold for sign-in, and clears urna's data from your device. You can also revoke urna's access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions. For any privacy request, email help@urnasuite.com. We may ask you to verify the request from the email address on your account.
Our lawful basis for the email and account ID we hold is performing the service you asked for, namely signing you in and keeping you signed in. Your sign-in identity is processed in the United States by Google under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. We keep it for the life of your account and delete it when you delete your account. You may access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, and where we rely on consent you may withdraw it, by revoking access or deleting your account. We do not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. You may complain to your local data protection authority. We aim to respond within one month, with notice if a complex request needs longer.
The only personal information we collect is identifiers: your Google email address and Google account identifier, collected directly from you through Google sign-in, used to authenticate you and keep you signed in. Our host also logs your IP address and device data for security and operation. We disclose this to Google and Firebase as our service providers under a service-provider contract. We do not sell or share your personal information and have not in the preceding twelve months, so we provide no Do Not Sell or Your Privacy Choices link, and we do not act on Do Not Track signals because we do not track. We keep this information for the life of your account and delete it when you delete your account. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Email help@urnasuite.com; we aim to respond within 45 days, up to 90 for complex requests, with notice.
If you live in Texas, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and profiling. urna does none of these. To exercise a right, email help@urnasuite.com. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
urna is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used urna, email help@urnasuite.com and we will delete it.
Google handles sign-in, so we never see your password. The only data we keep on a server is your email and account ID for sign-in. Your budget data is stored in your own Google Drive and is subject to Google's security and terms, which are outside our control. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your budget data is in your own Google Drive, so it stays with you. We will give in-app notice beforehand where we can.
If this policy changes, we will update the date and post the new version, with in-app notice for significant changes.
